Resilience is the capacity to adapt, and recover from adversity or stress
Individuals who can flexibly adapt to the demands of your workplace are more likely to flourish both personally and professionally. Resilience training can help employees to achieve this.
The principles of emotional agility and resilience are becoming essential elements of successful corporate training programmes. To keep your workforce engaged, productive and loyal, they require the skills to navigate disruption of all forms. We believe that resilience is a skill that can be learnt and deployed like any other.
Where scientific research meets the real world
At Wiser Working we integrate the fields of neuroscience, biofeedback and Positive Psychology with proven methods that promote behaviour change and self-leadership. This creates a powerful blended approach that offers real-life, practical solutions for stressed workers.
Our resilience programmes can equip employees to better handle today’s demands and be fully open to the opportunities that tomorrow can bring.
Understanding Emotional Regulation Systems
Our approach to resilience training enables individuals to understand more deeply how they function in the world.
The human brain evolved to be alert to threats and to focus on opportunities. This conditioning creates emotions ranging from fear to excitement which influence many of our thoughts and actions.
Wiser Working’s programmes highlight the behavioural and health risks of being hooked into these primal reactions and how they can be balanced by restorative practices.
Our Resilience Training Workshops
Our programmes start with understanding the fundamentals of building resilience. During a foundation session, we introduce our resilience framework and combine teaching and experiential exercises to help participants understand how it applies to their personal and professional lives.
Participants gain a deeper understanding into how their self-narratives often drive much of their stress.
The initial resilience workshop can be enhanced with follow-up sessions aimed at helping participants deepen their own resilience building and long-term agility to challenging circumstances. We also support managers and leaders to create psychological safety for the people in their teams, thereby leading to healthier and more resilience organisations.
